FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  How do I order?
  Visit our ordering page.

Do I need to own the copyrights for all the materials submitted?
You are required by law to own the copyrights or have a mechanical license for all recorded material, photos, videos and other intellectual property that you submit for duplication. Every duplication order needs to be accompanied by the Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Form.

Can you do quantities over 500?
Yes, but it would be much more economical to have the job replicated through a disc manufacturer. We can suggest reputable disc manufacturers upon request.

What is the difference between duplication and replication?
Duplication is the term used when your master is burned on recordable media such as CD-R or DVD-R. It is also referred to as "short run" or "on-demand" duplication. For larger quantities, the master is replicated or "pressed" using a "glass master".

Do I have to pay sales tax?
Orders shipped to New York are considered taxable by the State of New York. You will need to provide a valid Tax ID with an ST-3 form to be tax exempt.

Are there any setup charges involved?
No. The prices listed have the setup charges incorporated into them already. We DO NOT use the common practice of stating a lower per unit charge to entice a customer then tack on a setup fee which usually increases the unit price by $0.25-$0.50 or more. FastDupes does not engage in hidden fee tactics.

Do I get to see a proof?
All proofs are sent electronically in either PDF or JPG format. If you want an actual check disc and/or hardcopies of the design there is an extra $20.00 fee to cover shipping and materials.

  How much is shipping?
We use standard UPS and USPS rates for shipping. Bulk discs weigh about 0.04 lbs each and 0.24 lbs each when packaged in a jewel case. You can multiply the weight by the quantity of your order to get an approximate shipping weight and use that to get rates from the UPS or USPS sites.

Do you offer custom graphic design and layout for labels and packaging?
Yes. We have an excellent graphics department that will make sure you'll have a product you can be proud of with a professional, commercial look rather than home-made.

What graphics file formats do you accept for the label and package designs?
We accept files made in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Coreldraw, and QuarkXpress. To minimize delays and possible extra charges we suggest you use our design templates.

What sort of guarantee does FastDupes offer?
We stand behind our products and will replace them if we are in error. We are in the business of building long term relationships with our clients and will do everything possible to make you happy.
